And it's not to say I was fat by any means...
Heck, MOST people who know me personally would think nothing has changed, that I still look fit and healthy, and that I'm still "the same fitness guy".
But oohhhh aren't we good at hiding it.
Slightly looser clothes. An extra intentional layer when going out. A little extra sucking in when everyone's looking. We know the tricks all too well.
And that's all they are, tricks. Tricks to keep us trapped. To keep us victims. To keep us prisoners.
But inside, we know the truth.
That extra pudge you see with a tight shirt.
That little overhang on the seatbelt.
That sludge over the jeans that looks like snow hanging off a roof.
That feeling when you notice your gut hit your partner when making love.
And all that, boy, that's just a few extra pounds.
5 gained here, 5 gained there, what's 10 pounds over? What's 20 pounds over?
Sure, the impact on your health really isn't THAT much... right?
Okay, it does have some impact. Heck, 10 pounds of extra fat adds 40 pounds of pressure on the knees. Think of how much harder your heart is working too?
